Association rules are documented in official Muirfield and Weybridge documents available online. Most deal with homeowner property modifications, particularly externally-visible home and landscaping modifications which are subject of a long list of rules and review-and-approval procedures designed to keep property values at high levels for the benefit of all property owners.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Weybridge homeowners are subject to both Muirfield rules and Weybridge rules simultaneously. For the most part, the rules are overlapping or complementary, so compliance is typically straightforward. However, approval from one HOA does not ensure approval from the other HOA, so residents must get permission for most exterior changes from both organizations. If you're unclear on how to comply, contact a Weybridge board member for some coaching on the processes.
Other rules relate to homeowner responsibilities for maintaining their property -- especially for elements not maintained by Weybridge's landscaping contractor. Example homeowner maintenance responsibilities include:
To ensure property maintenance is up to community standards, the Weybridge board conducts annual property inspections and notifies residents of issues that need attention.
Most of the rules are specified in the Muirfield Property Handbook which lists the items subject to rules, provides links to the specifics of each rule, and further links to the forms required to apply for approval. The Muirfield Design Control Committee (DCC) is the final approval body, but the Weybridge board must be consulted first.
